Describe, in detail, what your project entailed:
We started by placing signs around the school telling students that we would be collecting canned food, boxed food, & shampoo to be donated to the caring cupboard. We also made an announcement on our morning announcements. Then we collected the goods every morning from all the students in the high school for three days. Last, we personally delivered the food to the Caring Cupboard.

How is your project relevant to this season’s Global Debates topic?
We realized making a difference globally started with making a difference in our everyday community.
Did you have any press or media coverage? If so, describe their involvement and how you think they helped spread your message.
No we did not have any coverage.
Did any elected leaders participate? Why do you think it is critical for them to support this issue (beyond the fact that everyone should care about the environment)?
No, but we realize it is critical for them to participate because they are in a high position so if they promote helping the environment other people will be inspired to do the same.
What impact did this project have on your community, the people you helped, or the organization(s) you partnered with?
After our project was over, there were a lot less hungry people in our community. The Caring Cupboard was also able to help more people. We were able to provide 67 cans to the Caring Cupboard.
What impact did this project have on you and your team?
We realized that we can make a difference in the lives of our local community..
Do you plan on following up with your service project? How will you make the impact last?
Yes. We will be able to help inform anyone who has questions and we will be able to continue to tell people about the Caring Cupboard so they can continue to donate.
